Eureka!

When I checked my email yesterday morning I found a lonely little email from wordpress saying that someone had commented on a post I did on 1minutewingman.com – a site I’m building with my buddy Ken. I couldn’t believe it – I don’t know how they guy found it. I haven’t yet done anything to promote the site and they guy had an email address indicating he was in England (.uk domain).

I was shocked, stunned, thrilled, elated, you name it. I could hardly type my response to him. I wanted to call Ken immediately to tell him the good news. I wanted to email Gary Vaynerchuk, whose book Crush It set me on this path. I wanted to get right from work and write 100 articles.

I was amazed that someone read my article, but I was also humbled. His comment indicated that my words made something clear to him – whatever that was. I was deeply gratified that something I wrote may have touched another human being in some way.

It’s stunning how 1 simple sentence from a complete stranger can lift my spirits and drive me to work harder.
